We are expanding our current missions ministry by adding
Ministry Coaching and Consulting.
With 20 years of pastoral ministry and the past 10 years of
leading the national ministry of KidCare America, Nancy and I have learned
there is a real need to build the capacity of local churches and pastors.
We have come to realize that the health of the church is
dependent on the pastors capacity to lead. Because of ministry demands,
occupational stress, and a lack of collaborative relationships, pastors spend
little time expanding their capacity to lead. To enlarge potential, pastors
need a collaborative, solution-focused, results-oriented relationship to
enhance ministry fulfillment, life experience, and self-directed learning. It
is our belief that this new initiative of KidCare America, Ministry Coaching
and Consulting will facilitate leadership development through a collaborative
coaching relationship.
KidCare America will continue to help churches open their
doors during the most dangerous time for students in America, after-school. We
will continue to train, consult, and help churches start and maintain
church-based after-school ministry. At the same time, we will provide Ministry
Coaching for pastors and capacity building for local churches.
We believe this ministry expansion has been confirmed
through our placement as US Missionaries into the Church Development Department
of US Missions. In addition, my obtaining a PhD in Organizational Psychology
has provided me with a deep resource of tools in which to help churches and pastors
reach their full potential.
To explain how our ministry will work, rethink the idea that
one plus one equals two. With KidCare America and the capacity building
ministry of Coaching and Consulting, as missionaries, one plus one equals one.
Two missions one ministry.
Starting November 1, 2011, Nancy and I will add to our
current ministry Coaching and Consulting with pastors and churches to help them
succeed in reaching their ministry goals. This ministry will provide, coaching,
board development, Ministry Coaching Radio, which can be heard online,
individual and organizational assessment, Ministry Fit personality assessment
and training, a weekly blog, White Papers on leadership development topics,
plus so much more.
The goal of this ministry expansion, like the current work
of KidCare America, is to enlarge the reach of the local church in their
community and around the World. As
US Missionaries, we look forward to not only “walking with students through
life” but also “walking with pastors through ministry.”
Stay tuned for more information about the addition of
Ministry Coaching and Consulting to our current missions ministry, KidCare
America.
